Literature Text

The side of the angels
A glorious place
Where the wind blows soft
On your battle-scarred face
Eagles in their hearts with pride
Soar among the sky's high tide
And the ponds below
In a cool summer's mist
Surrounded by reeds
Part with a flick of the wrist

But the life of a demon is a beautiful one
To look to the moon, and forget the sun
But the land of devils is one to behold
The forests and rivers and the tales of old
The wolves they are friendly
Though some say they bite
The shadows they sing
On a black raven's wing
And the mirrors they show
How the fires will grow

Both lives so beautiful
But my thoughts are none
I'm on the side of the angels
But I'm surely not one
Because who WOULDN'T want to use a Sherlock quote in their poem??
